Exactly which is why you did such a great job with migrants after ww2 and we british didnt. We took people in to rebuild and let them have their own little countries here, now look at it. We've had issues for decades.
What made America so great was how you said sure you can come over here but you'll learn to be an American. We didnt do that.
I didn't downvote you. but still kinda disagree. That is if you mean the recent arrivals the past few decades have also been reluctant to assimilate. But in the early days of US immigration they were basically forced to assimilate. I know alot of immigrants who don't feel the need. Especially alot of the Chinese that moved here. Some are wonderful americans, some think they never left china.
exactly i had when ive heard people say to be bro you only come here to make money . I told them to give me their citizenship right now and get the fuck out! they can go back to there socialist countrys or developing 3rd world countries, i am a Armenian but lets not forget why i get to live the GOOD LIFE AND HAVE NICE THINGS and do nice things thats because of the American Soil! lets never forget that . yea america has a lot of shitty of things like any other place but the GOOD OUT WEIGHS THE SHITYNESS EVERYTIME
Yeah, this is a good point. There are many Armenian immigrants where I live, and there is no cultural divide. They work hard and are visible and upstanding parts of the community. This makes them American in many respects. I can walk into the liquor store and have a conversation with the Armenian owner and we can agree or disagree but at the end of the day, there is no cultural divide - only community and participation.
A weakness of American tolerance is that we allow cultures and communities to fester that become deeply and permanently antagonistic to our culture. The ones that tend to succeed assimilate culturally in reasonable ways, while still honoring and preserving their heritage and culture. It's just a fact and I think it's plainly observable in the US, Europe, and elsewhere.
that american soil is good shyte.. bought and paid for by the blood of people who wouldn't except anything less than freedom. What will our descendants say about us, if we let this election be stolen and the "great reset" move forward. I will lay it all out there, so that i will not be remembered with those that so willingly gave up their freedom and liberty and along with it all future generations.
Not to be annoying but I think it's just semantics at this point. Most of us would agree that cultural differences don't matter insofar as they don't conflict with American values, fundamentally being the Constitution, free market capitalism, and just a general "leave me alone and I'll leave you alone" attitude. No one gives a shit about religious and holiday traditions. There are "cultural" differences (coughIslamcough) that conflict with those values and those people need to GTFO though.
The welfare system is a massive issue.
Edit: I'll also add that yeah I'd agree that immigration should be off the table for at least some time, given the current shit show we're in. I think that's a given.
Wrong... that European socialist bs, multiculturalism, promotes the separation of races, and it then bludgeons to death anyone who doesn’t get inline and fulfill their roles in the racist stereotype they are to be judged. It’s disgusting and against the very ideals for which America was founded upon.
It's not even Multi-Culturalism per se that is the issue. The U.S.A. has always been multicultural. Whether it was a mix of Puritans, Protestants, and Catholics. To Irish-Americans, Italian Americans, African Americans, Hispanic Americans (yes, there were many old school Hispanic Americans even prior to the influx of illegals.
None of this created the problems that exist today, because while many had their own heritage and cultures, they also were Americans first. They identifies with the common values that America represented. Liberty, Self Determination, Individualsim, Pioneer Spirit, Pride in the Country etc.
So even though many had their old traditions and cultures that they perpetuated, they also shared their common ideals with the rest of America, so their was more uniting everyone, than keeping us apart.
The new globalist multiculturalism wants to do away with that, and make people citizens of the world, as opposed to citizens of a nation. This is destructive as their is no longer anything that unifies a nations citizens
You're wrong. It's multiculturalism killing our country. The idea that you can come to America and not become an American is killing our country.

Idk there are alot of people where I live that fly mexican flags. It's pretty dumb.
You get exceptions but im talking about the past several decades

No.
Multi-ethnic society? At least theoretically possible.
Multi-cultural society? It's an oxymoron. Society is downstream from culture. If you have a multi-cultural society, you don't have a society at all.
It's not even Multi-Culturalism per se that is the issue. The U.S.A. has always been multicultural. Whether it was a mix of Puritans, Protestants, and Catholics. Correct. You identify that there was a core cultural zeitgeist that allowed the creation of a cohesive downstream society, and I agree.
The issue is that the Globalists have hijacked the meaning of 'multicultural' and demonised "White people" as having no culture.
It's frankly demonic.
