I'm tired of guessing. Whether you be present or former enlisted or officer (or even civilian worker at a military base).. TELL US

Depends...if it is a defensive position, they would most likely hold the line. For an offensive attack against US citizens, I believe most grunts would initially disobey or go passive aggressive - fuck the orders. But in either case, all bets go out the window if one of theirs gets hurt. Most wars fought at the battleground level are not about politics or the cause, but to survive, protect your buddies, and eliminate the threat. Snipers for instance, are not so much about killing the enemy but to save lives. If they have to take someone out to do that, so be it.

Question is how many Americans will fire upon other Americans. I would follow any leader that our commander and chief orders us to. I will also follow the orders of that choice. Retired Military

Military will follow whatever orders are given to them by their superiors. So will cops.

There are so many variables that it makes it hard to answer the question. Seriously, I can probably write a book about what might happen in different scenarios.

If you mean a civil war as a result of the current political instability, I think the military would start to split into a president-loyal/anti-socialist faction, and a leftist faction. Most of the former would be Combat Arms and enlisted, the latter would be officers and support-type MOS's. Most of the fighting power would on the president's side. The former faction would take over.

As far as antifa-types, I don't think the military would have any problem dealing with their leaders due to their anti-American activities, and foreign influence. Stupid protestors who aren't doing shit would be a different story.

I'm not too worried if this scenario comes to pass.

Edit: Combat vet; Afghan

Good soldiers follow orders, and US soldiers are the best on the planet.
