Teachers were telling kids to take all equipment home for the Thanksgiving break. This is because teachers do not plan on returning. The first shot was fired by UCF today when they informed all students that all classes after Thanksgiving will be online.

We need our President to pull a Reagan on teachers unions if they refuse to return to the class

As a member of the union I will say these people make me sick. One of my coworkers was running around the week of March 9th to March 13th with a color version of the stupid "flatten the curve" graph. One of our school board members addressed the whole district via video on Monday the 9th. He told all of us to be prepared to push out 2 weeks of online curriculum starting March 23. At that point right there I knew this whole thing was scripted.

The various teachers’ unions across the country are giving teachers a bad name. Unfortunately, it’s the individual teacher who makes up the rank and file. Teachers are digging their own graves. They are proving without a doubt that they have zero concern for the children and are in this solely for themselves. Teachers’ credibility and social standing is dropping to the level below politicians and media.

They already tried that in Florida in August. Didn’t work then, won’t work now. The data doesn’t justify closing the schools. The kids gave been back in the classrooms for 3 months with no major outbreaks in schools and no community outbreaks or surge in cases related to schools.

No doubt but why were kids told to take everything home and UCF announces they are going all online?

I had a conversation with a teacher the other day. They just went back using a hybrid model. Two days in person, two days remotely. She said it was so much better! She couldn’t believe how much she was missing the connection to the kids and the ability to explain things easier. Th first part of the year they spent most of the time just getting the kids adapted to accessing their lesson plans.they learned nothing. She is thrilled to be back. Now, that what is teacher should be.

Let be honest, they really just want to stay at home while still collecting a pay check.

Yeah, these teachers don’t even know how to use zoom. We really need to be able to pick our teachers, to force better quality.

People. Get math books / history books for your kids. Teach them and brush up on it yourselves. your kids will rule the retards someday.

this could be a good opportunity to tell them they won't be returning period because we're all homeschooling from now on. Give them a month tops and they'll be back
