It's sad - this kind of political action and controversy used to draw award winning shows like Frontline (which I used to really like before they cucked out in 2017). This election would be a great story for them - if the MSM masters at PBS weren't cutting them off at the knees and journalism in the US wasn't totally dead.

Fucking tragic.

Here's another aside, I've visited the Soviet Union when it still existed. Not like Bernie, it was a student cultural tour during the Reagan Gorby years. A cadre of students from the USSR visited schools here, and a bunch of US HS school students from all over the US went there to share the US way of life. It wasn't a huge group ... about 50-60 or so. We visited schools in both cities and the surrounding towns and were given a tour of Moscow and (then called) Leningrad (Suzdel and a few other towns as well).

Mind you it was in Dec-Jan 85-86 so it wasn't a sunny excursion, Leningrad was freaking cold - although to be honest, our 1-2 day layover in Helsinki for jet-lag was far more insanely cold (and I was living in CO at the time, so I knew cold).

Anyway, even with all the media control in the USSR (which was significant, even during perestroika & glasnost. For example when we came out we only discovered that tensions had ramped up with events between Libya and the US that led to the bombings there. We were behind the iron curtain during the 1985 Rome and Vienna airport attacks on Dec 27) even PRAVDA was less skewed than the US MSM now. Ya, it was rah-rah the the USSR and a non-stop remembrance of WWII, but the US news was factual - and not too opinionated (even their editorial cartoons were fairly weak by US standards - Reagan was almost complimented in many ways - possibly because the last round of missile talks went so well, and Gorby was really pushing for openness).

That's the thing that's really sticking out to me now - and possibly how I noticed the media shift against the GOP with Bush so well, and how it was so glowingly obvious with President Trump. It put the USSR's media to shame. Of course I've worked in advertising and the print media so that's no small peek behind the curtain either - but the US MSM is literally worse than PRAVDA. Not in a figurative way, a factual way.

WW2 was like the great 'Party Flip', where all the NAzis and Communists secretly infiltrated our governments through apologists and sympathizers.

70+ years later, the treason bears fruit.
