My problem with this is that I don't carry bibliography with me all the time.
For them is very easy to tell a lie on the spot or made up a faulty argument. For me to counter that with factual and objective evidence takes a lot of time in comparison with a live conversation.
For example when a LGTB is a communist, and you point out that communist have not been very friendly to gay people, they call you a liar and that is. Even thought this is demonstrability true and very easy to come about with both historical examples and current regimes examples; this takes time to do. Is not like you carry with you a ready slides presentation all the time.
We really need to centralize a curated wiki with common counterarguments.
This is a bad strategy and has never worked and yet Republicans have been trying to use it for over 50 years.
Democrats of today are not racists despite the party history and the unintended deleterious effects their policies have on the black community to this day. They are simply wrong, not racist.
I've never met a racist in person and the only racists I see in the news media are anti-whites so pretending there is an imaginary widespread problem of people who are racist against blacks is counter productive and untrue.
If someone calls you a racist, you simply laugh at them and amplify. Ex. Yes, everything is racist, math is racist, time is racist,, national parks are racist etc, etc.
Republicans have certainly not been calling Democrats racists for 50 years. Republicans historically haven't ever fought like that. Sure, you could laugh at them but they take it as their truth. To point out Democrats were the party of slavery, were against the civil rights legislation, were the party of the KKK, while Democrats have received all black votes blacks are still suffering in some areas, and they support abortion which is the #1 killer of black people.
Don't let them get off easily without any pushback to put them on the defensive. That's exactly the nice guy attitude when Republicans get accused of horrible things that has caused them to lose. If Trump taught Republicans anything, it should be that.
Always call them the actual racist back. You have a lot more modern and historical ammo than them to back it up.

Better to just say "so what?" ... they don't know what to do with that
No, no, no.

Thomas Sowell did that decades ago. You have not been paying attention for at least the last 30 years.
Thomas Sowell is the rare breed of mainstream Republicans. A national treasure really.
