I will respect the office of Pope, and I will respect the Pope as he has has been chosen by the bishops and the Holy Spirit. God can make a lot of good come from bad- and the Pope is human, just like the rest of us. He can, and does, and will make mistakes. His personal opinion is not church teaching.
We've had bad popes before. We've had popes that have sinned publicly before. We've had popes who themselves lead very unChristian lives. But they were still the Pope.

A pope chosen by an invalid conclave is not a pope at all. And the conclave was invalid because it convened while the See of Peter was still occupied.
