Sounds like a Reeeeeeeeeal good time! Basically your experience sounds like a microcosm of what’s going on these days. He should be thankful for the restraint your family has shown. 😂

I have run into this a bit with people who live out here in the country but commute to the big city for work. It always seems pointless to talk to these people so I have developed a strategy for dealing with them. I first give them my best "are you serious face" while asking if they truly believe that. Since I am a Texan, I always say "Bless yer heart" and then burst out in the loudest laughter I can manage and ignoring anything else they say. I walk away just laughing my ass off. Have found that the little nazis really hate when you act like you don't take them seriously.

He's the type that just freaks out if you confront anything he has to say.

Sounds like nobody ever took the time to put him in his place by challenging his world views.

🤣Understandable. When the time is right...I'm sure someone will school him.👍

I met my knew, Hispanic, girlfriend’s family for the first time today. There was several instances of “liberal” being used as an insult and several impassioned defenses of “I am not, a liberal.” It was incredibly amusing as my girlfriend knows I am hard right, my girlfriend is hard right, and her siblings are hard right.
