Damn, where I'm from people are okay with government action to control the pandemic.

But not like this. When they tried to fine people(A LOT) for not wearing a mask and shit people protested and had it removed/watered down.

My country has a "government is here to protect us" attitude because of our societal structure/culture of never question elderly people and even we don't like the new laws.

I sometimes disagree with how far TDW goes with the pandemic thing because ik close friends who lost parents and family members to it. It is actually an issue but whats also an issue is the precedent thats being set this year.

The precedent of arbitrary laws being imposed totally against the constitution. Covid is being used as an excuse to pass anything they want no matter how tyrannical it is.

And also the blatant hypocrisy and applying laws only to people they don't like. Rioters are expressing themselves but family dinners are evil is why people stopped giving a fuck about the pandemic. Its absolutely awful.

I just want the pandemic to end and we all go back to normal lives:(
