I think it's an American perspective where we all witness the amount of strife that comes from a multicultural society. Europe was all too happy to follow our example, now they're fucked.
Business interests are worried about the birth rate as they cannot get cheap labor. Typically disease and war reap the population so people are always having kids. They are in a period of bliss and peace so they don't know why people are not having kids. It's because the biological imperative isn't there. So what will happen is they will introduce non Japanese who will eventually cause strife several decades later. Especially if they include Africans.
From my short time in Japan I can tell you that the Nippon people are very protective of their pure bloodlines. I bellieve this statement is just UN lip service.
The Japanese like their foreigners kawaii. Especially the scary ones. Most of your blue haired snowflakes in the US are influenced by Japanese culture. These are weebos and otakus. They stay in their parent's basements and watch hentai all day. And boy do they love to cosplay and LARP.

I know the only reason I haven’t had kids is high taxation, I assume plenty of people in japane face a similar issue.

Right before this scamdemic hit, I was making plans to finally go to Japan, and spend a few months there early next year.
I waited too long to experience Japan...
