Let's just say that between the easy access to the market (low capital expenditure barrier), and my belief that a lot of the marketing value is fake, I'm not long on the social media companies.
I am a murder no children/free speech conservative. Those are my only two big issues. I can understand if I said faggot and the internet redacted it, but you could just click to see what I wrote and it shows up. A simple warning. "This dude posted something spicy, click to view". As long as no one is writing harm to others YOU CANNOT BAN THEM YOU FUCKS! All porn should be blocked in this manner where you cannot see it until age 18 or so, enter your social or something similar to view. In S Korea it is done like this, all is blocked unless you have a vpn or unlock viewership.
When the population is locked down at home, unable to move about, and everyone is on social media, interacting with others... it becomes very easy to identify and deal with the thought criminals. Nobody will even be able to report on people or families who get taken away suddenly. Or to put it another way... In space, nobody can hear you scream.
The only power that companies like Twitter have over us is the power we willingly give them.
Do not participate.
Abandon these legacy platforms to the left, and create our own that follow OUR rules. Support the alternatives.
