Because, in Communism Theory, the Communist state is the evolution of Capitalism, not it's direct replacement.

Marx' assertion is that Communism will replace Capitalism when the marginal value of adding a worker is zero. That makes economic growth impossible and, in fact, every additional child removes wealth from the system, so if it continues, economic collapse is on the way.

That point is called "late stage capitalism" (hence the name of the subreddit).

Marx thought Communism would first be transitioned by the UK, Germany or USA as they reached full industrialization.

Jumping straight from feudalism to communism would just not work, as has been demonstrated multiple times by Marxist revolutionaries around the world.

China is following the correct (according to communists) model. They have gone from agrarian to manufacturing with full on capitalism. They have not eschewed Communism, they are still pushing through with the plan.

Lenin put it as "The Highest State of Capitalism is Imperialism". Which just shows you how wrong the Soviet philosophical thinking was.

Free peoples do not want Fascist Capitalism nor Imperialism.

I think Trump understands this, he has a degree in economics after all, and that's why he has tempered the USA's overseas adventures. Imperialism is counter productive and also expensive.

I need to stop :)

The problem the communists have, is that supply of work still outstrips the supply of labour, even with technological advances. You might be familiar with the phrase "but this time it's different".

In 1847 the US was delivering 52,000 tons of ice per year.

The Ice-King at the time, even shipped 180 tons of ice from Boston to Calcutta in India!

The idea we will run out of things to do is so ludicrous, you'd have to be an academic to believe it.
