I am glad they are willing to pay for this site out of their own pocket to keep control and to ensure priorities don't get swayed.
But there will be a time when we need to grow and costs will definitely exceed what even the most patriotic people will be willing or capable of affording. So I hope they are at least planning on how they could monetize the site in a way without giving up control, or having to worry about being distracted, or getting the wrongly motivated people involved in it.
Even worse, what if they die? Who will they pick as the next host? I mean we never know in this world. But I mean a natural cause. We just have to have some kind of certification process that ensures a chain of custody.

I seem to remember the mods said this was intentional to guarantee that 1. They weren't beholden to anyone so the site could stay free the way it is and 2. They didn't want to be seen as making a profit off of it.

There was a post a while back from the admins about this, many of the counter points they made were that if they offered donation bar, the enemy could use it to track donations, use legal barriers to slow or destroy the site, and other awful things (doxing users/admins, etc). I’m running off memory here but it sounds like they’ve thoroughly thought it out and decided the cons outweighed the pros.

That would create a trail for leftists to target them. We should be grateful that people with the means are willing to put up the site and fund it out of their own pockets without asking for anything but support for our great president.
