You've come around to supporting Trump, but my question is do you still support things like welfare, universal health care, etc? Or have you gone fully in support of small government, individual liberty, etc.

My own personal story goes all the way back to 2008, where I quickly realized my leftist opinions were wrong and I went full-constitutionalist.

I'm curious if any here are pro-Trump but still want a "sensible" Democratic party that supports big government welfare programs.

WEll only speaking for myself. I had a lot more faith and trust in the government agencies than i do now. But even then I didn't want it to get any bigger. Also have always been a big 2A supporter

Can't say I've ever supported universal healthcare cause I never saw that as ever being feasible.

I would say the big thing that swung me over to the left side was the propaganda about the right being racist and bigoted that originally pushed me left side.

I was more of a fisical conservative but social liberal. But over time I've seen how the identity policts and the homesexual agenda has actually been a force to destory our society. I refound my faith in chirstianity and have become a lot more militant.

I want to see a cultural revolution in the US to return us to the traditional family way of life which I feel will take care much of the problems we face as a society.

yeah and when i say homosexual agenda thats what I'm refering to. Where Trying to force this stuff down childrens throats and tarnishing the family. An adult can make their own choices so I have no issue with the individual

I look at it as normal communist tactics just like in Russia where they wanted to create the "new" russian man and woman.

My red pill was an extended release. I always considered myself a centrist even though I supported (what was considered) far left ideology back in 2012. The GamerGate happened. That was when I discovered that journalism is really pay-to-play propaganda. From there it was a rabbit hole into how the left weaponizes their words to shape a reader's train of thought. I was still a lefty up until 2016 when the DNC rigged the primaries against Bernie...or so I thought, at that time. When he officially sold out to Hillary, it pissed me off to no end. From there, I started to question everything. I went from supporting Obamacare to absolutely loathing the idea of gov run healthcare. Welfare, which I was on at one time is nothing more than another addiction for the enslaved. Although, I do feel like people who are consuming both should be weened off instead of having it pulled from under them. I always thought of the constitution as a living document. I no longer share that viewpoint now more then ever.

lol man if we could get everyone as angry as people got during GamerGate we could really change this country lol.

Defintely exposed the elitist attitude of the media to me as well

What exactly was gamergate man? I hear it mentioned a lot but I wasn't aware of it.

Put simply due to some gossip a bunch of "gamer" journalist insulted all gamers Which led to the biggest pushback against the system I ever saw.

Here is a good video that breaks it down

In essence, Zoe Quinn (a game creator) created a really crappy game that the online community absolutely hated. She then, however, started getting rave reviews from leading gaming publishers. Turned out that she was sleeping with a couple of these gaming "journalists" to advance her game and propel her to feminist stardom. Some cyber bois (much like us) did some digging and released a shit ton of information confirming that she was involved in a pay-to-play (albeit with natures credit card) scheme to become famous. Then came the birth of the "white knight" to aide in her defense against those who "harassed" her. That was the birth of the SJW.

But that somehow lead to a political wakening of gamers who were witnessing this? It made people aware of journalists lying in other realms, what?

like I said watch this video. That was the cause, but the its the reaction that came afterward that makes gamergate

Ok I stopped being lazy and watched your video. Pretty interesting stuff. Just another avenue that brought some of you here. We all took very different paths..

For me, I saw in real-time the same regressive ideology in the gaming industry bleed over into actual "journalism". Which pissed me and a large number of non-political people off even further. I'm probably not making any sense because I find it hard to articulate my experiences.

na man you're on point with that. They were trying to make every part of your life congruent with their regressive ideology eventually it came to the games people loved and they pushed back

I was pretty on fence till the kavanaugh thing. That did it for me. I'd still argue for 1 term abortions, not government funded. Welfare is the new crack, we need to ween it down, cold turkey would kill some folks.

if there are sensible dems out there left, i will listen, but id also be monitoring carefully the convo, moment they try a "EXCUSE ME IM SPEAKING" when they constantly interrupt im out.

yeah seeing how they were acting during the Kavanaugh thing also pushed me. It made me start avoiding the mainstream media narrative agenda after it was so blatantly exposed

I was falsely accused the year before of sexual assault (which turned into rape by the end of that game of telephone) lost my mind, job, friends, fam, everything. People like Alyssa milano, i give no chances to.

But i believe some unlucky saps are still plugged in the msm with their humanity intact. and those folks id like to help
