I've had jobs where documents have to be kept for years and available upon request if the right federal agents show up. And if I didn't have those documents on hand? Felonies.

Where are the consequences for these people?

Discard the vote and felonies is my suggestion.

Same here. The CEO put it very simple.

"If you ever drive up the office with a bunch of black SUVs out front, you might as well turn around, go home, and update your resume. And if you had access to the data, you might want to lawyer up."

"risk disqualification"

if you cheat and destroy evidence in a race which you lost

the mere risk of gaining more than you had initially is absolutely worth it

These should all be precincts where Biden "won" (and then won the state) right? What do they have to gain by disqualifying the votes? The electoral votes get nullified instead of going to Trump?

1
weltbild 1 point ago +1 / -0

the votes got counted once and recounted

if you destroy the evidence afterwards you are almost 100% fucked

Tucso 18 points ago +18 / -0

Yep, but democraps can do whatever they want.

1
leakmouth 1 point ago +1 / -0

If any of them were ever actually charged and tried for a crime they would probably get off using the Not Guilty by Reason of Resisting Drumpf defense

2
Tucso 2 points ago +2 / -0

They will be charged by military judges

This is what happened in Michigan circa 2016 with Jill Stein paying for Hillary’s recount. They stopped it when they realized many Hillary counties would be disqualified.

Thanks for the reminder.

The only reason NOT to retain such records is to prevent discovery of criminal fraud.

This is as cut and dry as it comes

If a county cant produce ballots then they dont count. Cant allow counties to destroy potential evidence to hide their crimes.

How do we know they ever existed if there isnt any proof.

Saerdna99 7 points ago +7 / -0

The last sentence says they can be fined up to $1000 and or jailed for not more than one year. Is that fucking it??

2
Southern_Belle 2 points ago +2 / -0

We'd need to do the research to find out if that is per occurrence.

That is, throw away one ballot, that's 1K and one year.

Ten ballots, 10K and ten years.

Not an attorney; just wondering if it is less dire than it appears.

Good luck getting them. I am still in a runaround with Tucson on this, and I started as soon as the call went out to get those publicly available records. I would like a chance to study them before our AZ hearing, which I am trying like hell to get to.

This is what I am saying. Prove you were elected Joe.

4
KAG4EVRodysseus11 4 points ago +4 / -0

why would they not "be able to comply"?

4
T_BigD1745 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is crazy because healthcare agencies at least have to hold records for 10 years. Why wouldnt we hold election records for at least that long?

1
EdisonHwy 1 point ago +1 / -0

No budget $$$

4
PlateOwner 4 points ago +4 / -0

There should be absolutely no question of disqualification.

If it's unauditable it's unconstitutional.

Amen

I don't think they will be able to do an audit in GA. They've already thrown away the envelopes, so there is no way to check the signatures. I believe GA will be decided in the GA General Assembly, which they've already started. (https://twitter.com/RepMoBrooks/status/1332357064635637762)

They will try to change this law at the 11th hour with activist judges.

Oh please disqualify Las Vegas and give our corrupt governor a nice kick in the teeth! I very much want to see that.

1
jtt888 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's also against state law in PA (not sure about the other states).

furfull 1 point ago +1 / -0

Risk disqualification? The text says the penalty is $1000 or up to a year in jail. It doesn't say the vote doesn't count.

If you're complicit in the fraud, that sounds like a very handle-able risk, especially if Obama's gang have promised to make good any losses.
