They may even combine cases into a single hearing, thus killing several birds with one stone. If SCOTUS views this as a national fraud, like what happened in 1876, this is likely.

I don't think it's a great outcome... HOWEVER, you could argue that if the ruling goes to SCOTUS, and wins, that precedent would apply to all states, not just PA.

This is ideal. They could have sat on it for a couple more days. Rudy's case is intentionally flawed to expedite it to the SCOTUS.

If they win in the lower courts, it risks only setting precedent in that state. If they take it to the Federal level and the highest courts it can be used in all the states as a precedent.

Part of Rudy's filing asks for the ability to add and modify the filings and affidavits in the appeal, which I think these Republicans granted. This means Rudy can hold back certain things and surprise the opposition with it during the only case that matters.

Keep in mind, this is all speculation though -- as well as being just one possible avenue to victory. There may be other plays they are pursuing and just dragging this one along as a smokescreen and diversion could be the tactic on this case. Much like in WW2 where allied soldiers would position dead bodies on hills and tie strings on them to bait out sniper fire.

Just going through the motions to get in front of SCOTUS. Circuit Court judge is a Trump appointee - he got the word to move it along.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/context/read-the-third-circuit-court-of-appeals-ruling-in-pennsylvania-election/e2bfd645-efb5-4862-8680-ce92c9ccf6e2/

it says "The Trump Presidential Campaign asserts that Pennsylvania’s 2020 election was unfair. But as lawyer Rudolph Giuliani stressed, the Campaign “doesn’t plead fraud. . . . [T]his is not a fraud case.” Mot. to Dismiss Hr’g Tr. 118:19–20, 137:18. Instead, it objects that Pennsylvania’s Secretary of State and some counties restricted poll watchers and let voters fix technical defects in their mail-in ballots. It offers nothing more"

Can somebody shed the light on this remark from Rudy?, we don't plead fraud?......WTF...

Don’t worry, this was expected. The entire strategy of the Trump Campaign in PA is to get the case to the SCOTUS. The lower courts in PA blocked the Trump Campaign from providing evidence, thus the Trump Campaign is pushing the case as fast as possible to a potential SCOTUS case (this is actually explicitly stated by the judge).

There’s also a lot of politics being played regarding this case. If this case gets accepted by the SCOTUS, then it has the potential to throw out millions of votes or completely invalidate the EC votes from PA. No judicial body has that type of political clout to do such a thing, only the SCOTUS.

I see, the Supreme Court is going to take up the case, throw out the election due to overwhelming voter irregularities, send it to the United States House of Representatives, and they will re-elect Donald Trump..........so, the challenge here, is to prove the massive fraud that occurred. Will Rudy be able to do it?, that's the key question now.

Hard to tell what really happened because US News and World Reports is fake news. If Giuliani presented what he did in Gettysburg I can’t imagine how any reasonable judge could say there was no evidence presented.

It is my understanding that by doing so, it expedited the appeal to the supreme court.

Maybe a legal pede would like to weigh in.
