Bush didn't give up his seat until Jan 15th

Biden didn't give up his until Jan 15th

Obama didn't give up his until Jan 15th

It really means nothing that Harris hasn't given up hers. Why would she have a reason to?

The last example we have of a sitting Senator resigning to take a higher position is Joe Biden. He resigned his senate seat on January 15, 2009
