Michigan certified its vote when:
- Two Republicans on the certification board decertified
- Were openly threatened to certify
- and then only verbally committed to certify given an audit take place
- and then in the absence of said audit, sought to rescind their certification (which was conditional on a promised audit that never happened?)?
That sounds like the most corrupt, illegitimate, and bullshit certification ever. Somebody please correct me if I’ve got any of these details wrong here. There’s no way on earth that certification is legal right?!
I believe that Wayne County ended not being certified, after the sworn affidavits of threats to their Republican canvassers. Then, for some reason, the state board certified without Wayne County. I think WC is still uncertified...
WC is certified. The sworn affidavits have no meaning unless a judge steps in and says they do, but they won't since it doesn't matter at this point anyways it wouldn't change anything.
But the point still stands that giving a victory to Trump still would send it to SCOTUS. There is no saving these corrupt bitches asses. The deep state is at full force.
A lot more seems to be falling on SCOTUS than I had hoped. If we had gotten it down to a much tighter margin it would make it easier to make the call, but as it stands they are going to dig down deep and find their balls to stop this.
Well, that doesn’t really clear it up for me, but thank you. Haven’t found anywhere saying that it was certified after the Republican votes were rescinded.
There is no such thing as rescinding your vote. Once you vote, it's done. Now if you want to go argue in front of a judge and get them to rule that your vote was invalid then maybe you could 'uncertify' the county. However I didn't see anywhere that they tried to get in front of a judge. I figure the reason for this is that the county certifications don't really matter in the end, the state board's certification is what matters. Zero counties in MI could certify their results and the state board could still certify and in all legal terms MI would be certified. So since the two county canvassers stated that they only certified under duress and they wanted to rescind their votes it gave the state board the same information as if the votes were formally uncertified.
That battle is over it's time to move on.
I hear you, but I also heard that they didn’t sign to certify.
