Michigan certified its vote when:

  1. Two Republicans on the certification board decertified
  2. Were openly threatened to certify
  3. and then only verbally committed to certify given an audit take place
  4. and then in the absence of said audit, sought to rescind their certification (which was conditional on a promised audit that never happened?)?

That sounds like the most corrupt, illegitimate, and bullshit certification ever. Somebody please correct me if I’ve got any of these details wrong here. There’s no way on earth that certification is legal right?!

Because the county certifications are really just a formality anyways. If a county doesn't certify it still goes to the state board and they make the decision. The state board was well aware of the two republicans wanting to rescind their certification so whether the county was officially certified or not was really a moot point.

You could have no counties certify and still have the state board vote to certify and that would be the official state certification.
