It's simple, for the powers that be on both sides, there is simply no jeopardy in screwing us over.

If people try and start a new party, even some people here will say "but muh split vote, democrats will take everything". And that's the trick they always play so nothing changes.

The other trap is we look to others to do everything, doesn't even matter if we get a Trump party unless people hold the feet of those in the party to the fire.
