Again I'm not from England so I can ascribe what I feel like should be british vs what doesn't feel British in fact in my travels I felt like you get a more honest cultural look in smaller towns than in major metropolitan areas.

Sorry man but when I am in a hotel witnessing a muslim british chick crying because her muslim british husband "beat her" and locked her out of her room then I go to the pub meet some brits, join them for a couple of pints and when I comment on how what I witnessed is fucked up I expect some consensus. Well the brits there acted like I was attacking their culture and start spouting how in Liverpool beating their girlfriends is a british hobby and what they are doing is very english, I know exactly what is wrong in that scenario. It was a nice touch when they accused me of racism for thinking beating "their wife" wasn't something the english are known for.
My nerves aren't frayed just sharing an experience I had didn't realize how conformist they were since while we talked about brexit which they seemed to support but once we discussed a bit more in depth on the fabric of things they got defensive. Kind of like you are being. Either way I don't agree 100% with anyone I walk my own path and I criticize even things I agree with if they're present to draw a wrong conclusion so feel free to argue with me openly, may be you can teach me something new. Just don't come trying to undermine my whole point and not expect to eat your words right back. If you want a genuine conversation I can give you one, if you want to mock and reduce it I got you right back.
