Proverbs 31. Women have a lot of responsibility to provide for the individuals under their care. Women are expected to use their intelligence and energy to make stuff, sell stuff, grow food, run a successful business, manage the household finances, buy good property, teach their children.

The man in that chapter "sat in the gate" - he participated in politics and setting society rules.

Women were even Judges in the old testament. But not rulemakers. And in the new testament, women are not to teach men.

I say this as a woman. It's important to give godly women the responsibilities God has assigned to her. And give men their responsibilities too. Not to treat women as children or weak, but to recognize that women have a lot of capability and responsibility. And its the woman who is ultimately responsible for financial stability and ensuring her families needs are met. If you don't believe me, go read Proverbs 31.
