Because we need to fund all sorts of action on our side: lawsuits; pede bails (e.g. Kyle); campaigns for Lion Party candidates; etc.

Plus, Red Action is a good idea; Redacting Blue is a straight necessity.

Hell, if the branding was subtle on the donate page, it would probably get a decent number of contributions from lefties misreading ActBlue.

I'm currently making a crowdfunding platform with right wing attorneys, programmers. Security people, payment processors, and considering marketing heavily toward the left "at first". However, right wing causes are not going to be taken down. (That would buy us more time before attacks).... considering this, I think a plugin and alternate website link would be pretty easy

I absolutely love this. We need it.

Not trying to be an ass, but how are you handling the weak link: payment processors? If Visa et al won’t allow you to use their services, how are people going to be able to donate the money? They even stopped the Gab guy from having PERSONAL banking, right? (Or is this what you mean about marketing to left to avoid attacks?)

That’s the part that has always seemed like the ultimate problem. They can stop you or really hurt you simply by taking away the easy methods of payment acceptance. People will donate a buck if it’s as easy as Venmo. People won’t donate if they have to buy crypto to do it.

Yep marketing it to the left will keep them off the trail at first.... I have a processor who is making a shell company as the owner and operator without any reporting required. My company does the same.... highlight is that they will have to convince Visa, amex, etc. To stop using the processor. If that happens, we just change the processor, another shell owner. And go again.

It is ridiculous that I have to use covert tactics when starting a business to help people. We are the resistance.

Absolutely. It’s also ridiculous that back door suppressing speech like this is permitted. Banks and processors should be legally required to process all payments unless it interferes with national security and the party at issue is subject to a national security order. Processors and banks have reached the level of necessity of utilities.

And I don’t want to hear some “private company” bs. Everyone keeps trying to push us to a cashless economy, which accelerated with COVID and “can’t touch that dirty paper.” Well, if the only way to have money is electronic, you are no longer a private business. You are a utility and everyone has a right to access it whether you like them or not.

Agreed, always be prepared, in a post money world the currency will be ammunition.
