Only a secret from the sheep. Anyone that thinks for their selves already knew. They are getting better at hiding the death statistics per year. I was trying to show my son no major increases in death totals and had a hard time finding them.
The explanation is that it downplays the seriousness by pointing out that instead of these deaths happening over the entire year. A shit ton of people that would have died at some point this year died faster than they would have. Hence the large spike of people that died in March or April. Same amount of people dead just less spread out. They obviously use fancier words to try and make it sound more important but that's what it boils down to
