French guy here. This is not surprising and typical of how Antifa works in France.

This law is a complete scandal as it simply will make illegal to film cops any time.

The antifa have been discretely pushed to protest violently against this law, so that the (justified) popular uproar is associated with the stupidity and violence of antifa, and thus discredited.

Antifa in France is there to actively rotten and discredit any resemblance of genuine and justified popular unrest. Same happened with yellow vests.
