I enjoy Sanderson's style, but you could tell he was constricted by the notes Jordan had left and probably Jordan's widows desire to adhere to her husband's notes. Notes do not a good story make. And very often during the course of transcribing notes to page do the notes get scrapped and new ideas form. It was like giving someone the Cliff's notes and telling him to recreate Don Quixote based solely on them.
Or they could just have Brandon Sanderson come in and save the day, like he did with the Wheel of Time.
I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not, because I genuinely didn't like the books he "finished" in WoT.

There weren't many notes left. The last two books were 95% Brandon Sanderson fan fic.
