Keep an eye on the situation OP. It sounds like your sister is isolating your mother. Your dad is no longer there to protect her from being taken advantage of. I'm not saying necessarily your sister would do that, but the fact her husband has 1) not provided a home for his own family & 2) is okay relying on the elderly widow of his wife to provide the housing he should have provided...OP, red flags everywhere on this situation. Don't let this push you away from your mom. She's clearly being influenced to make decisions she doesn't want to make ALREADY. You need to stay in her life & protect her as much as possible. It's your duty. She's your mom & though what she just did must hurt like hell, she's not thinking right. Keep an eye on the situation.
