I could not agree more with your views of Facebook{and by extension, the rest of the flock]. The whole farce is a created 'need' by some real hucksters, rather like 'pet rocks' and 'hula hoops'. Since I grew up LONG before the Internet Era, I was not taken in by all the 'hype' of it; I had another education that says, 'it is a stupid as an 08 track tape player'.
And given the current debacle with FaceBook, et al. and the march of progress, you can be sure the current, Big Dogs, will soon be no more that a plush dog toy, ripped to shreds, and hurled into the Dumpster of History
