I don't know I feel weary about him, he talks the talk and he seems like a nice guy, but there's been a few weird things like him taking a long time to defend Trump and things like that that it makes it hard for me to completely trust him. Does anyone else get this feeling too or am I just being paranoid?

When he interrogates Big Tech representatives he's straight fire... but then nothing happens. He's very much a "strongly worded letter" politician.

Yup, the "Rowdy Gowdy" method of fire and brimstone with no payoff.

He already said that without the House there is nothing he can do except setup hearings. No law will make it past the House.

Ted Cruz is looking out for himself. Remember Trump called him Lying Ted.

Trust him more than 80% of them. Ted was Burned by Trump. But I think he is trusted by Trump, so that's where we are.

Honestly the two litmus tests I use to determine how helpful they are against swamp is "do they have to be there" and "how is the media treating them". They go after Trump+Rudy the most, and neither of them (especially Trump obviously) had to be against them. They both could have retired as appreciated icons of NY, yet they sacrificed it to fight the swamp. The media flipped on them both as well from "the american Dream" and "America's mayor". They suspiciously do not attack Cruz as much as you think they would, he reminds me of Mitch where if Trump slips at all they go against it, but more of naivety to the bigger picture how this isn't about political parties.

As someone who wasn't a fan of Cruz in 2016, I think the powers that be are focusing their own energy on Trump while they let their little goons go after Cruz so as not to waste their own energy. Cruz's Facebook page is FULL of lefty shills who constantly mock and shit on him and Trump. They're always the top comments too, I'm sure those likes definitely aren't artificially inflated or anything..

He's a slimy fucking politician. But he's not dumb. He saw the sheer passion and growing popularity of our movement and being an opportunist... tries to fit in. Ultimately an all bark, no bite Gowdy that would slit our throats if the political winds said to.

Chief_Wahoo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Too damn wishy washy. A lot of talk but no bite.

Cruz is a good guy. Better than 99% of GOPers.

Updoots4patriots 2 points ago +2 / -0

Voted for him in the 2016 primary, he was tougher on illegals. Still want him as president in 2024 after Trump’s second term.

It's been fairly well known for awhile now that Ted Cruz is a Lizard Person, but he's generally on our side so we put up with him in spite of that.

I don't trust him, either.

Saw him on an interview a year ago -- or longer -- and he was too quick to accept the MSM narrative and not fully defend DJT.

I trust Louie and gaetz

MAGA_Stephen 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think he might have just been butt hurt for awhile and it took him some time to come around.

1
CindyT 1 point ago +1 / -0

Um, he's running for president in 2024. He's doing his resume. Seriously though, I've always supported him, but he's proven to be a fence sitter and IMO, untrustworthy.

Drinkup4 1 point ago +1 / -0

Does he really think there will be a fair election in 2024 if they get away with cheating this time.

1
Billygoat65 1 point ago +2 / -1

He’s a smuck, he went to Harvard it’s in his DNA now.

3
conservativeyuppie 3 points ago +4 / -1

Um, Trump himself is an Ivy League grad. There are plenty of hardened conservatives who went to those schools including yours truly and others like Justice Scalia.

1
Billygoat65 1 point ago +3 / -2

Trump didn’t go to Harvard shit for brains. Did I say IV league?

1
Average-Joe 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ted Cruz is an opportunist. He was anti Trump but saw it politically expedient to support him so that is what he is doing. He will always ride the coattails of whomever is favored by political winds. He us currently our useful idiot but don't trust the junkyard dog.

BoricuaPede 1 point ago +1 / -0

The term is "leery" not "weary."

3
alex_p_keaton_III 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think he meant wary.

1
BoricuaPede 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wary is a correct word too but that's not what he was thinking. He did what lots of people do, mixing "leery" with "wary" to make "weary." However, "leery" is a much stronger word, denoting that feeling you can't quite put a finger on, the hair rising on the back of the neck, the zero at the bone, the sense of general unease you can't explain. "Wary" means to be cautious in the face of a defined threat.

1
alex_p_keaton_III 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wary is a lot closer to "weary" than leery. Wary: not completely trusting or certain about something or someone. The definition certainly fits his criteria and description. Synonyms for wary: cautious, leery. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/wary

I'll never forgive him for the 2016 primaries. I'm not sure that a lot of people here were watching the primaries then with a lot of detail but I was and I remember it all very clearly, Trump would call him lyin' Ted and cruz constantly said Trump would not be the nominee and he also did sketchy shit with his team like somehow having the Colorado republican primary cancelled. The guy is an absolute swamp rat and I'll never trust him although I support him i guess as long as he's toeing the line but I really hope he's not ever going to be a contender for president again.

Ted Cruz is one of the good guys.

0
Taupkek 0 points ago +2 / -2

Trump was really nasty to him during the 2016 primary, attacking his wife and father. Cruz is a true conservative and backs Trump when Trump does conservative things. He isnt an enemy.

Farqquard 0 points ago +2 / -2

He's been true to Trump since the election and he is a LION. I'm with Ted.

Cruz is in it for the LOONG Game. Patience will show that he is going to be a key player in winning the War, even if he doesn't fight every battle.
