Yep. I think it has mutated to a less lethal strain. The cases are increasing but the death rate is much lower than it was a few months ago yet the governors are all in cahoots trying to panic us. Enough! We are onto them!
It doesn't make any sense. I work at a hospital and things are fine. Yet it keeps getting reported that it's out of control. MY hospital is reporting that.
what sucks hard as well is that now where I live, so many doctors aren't taking new patients and some urgent care clinics are screening patients before allowing them to come in. So, if you actually need a doctor, you might get denied. And, from what I know, the hospitals aren't overflowing or anything. It's all just fearmongering
My little brother works at hospital pharmacy. He also compounds drugs. This thanksgiving he said he’s been setting up remdesivir for patients, but that it was only about 6 rounds of dosing at a time. They were only coming in about 1 at a time before that. To him it seemed like a significant increase.
It appears they’re just giving it out as an antiviral, kinda like AIDS meds for people that have trouble with Covid. It’s just the cycle they’re creating. More IV bags means more money and they’re pumping as many as they can. Trump already bought all the doses on the market plus the lions share of future production for the next few years. They want to do whatever they can to minimize death and if it isn’t killing people to take the remdesivir, any little gain is the justification used to sell the whole lot. There’s an endless supply of colds and flus every season so they have as many cases as they need to sell every single dose they can create.
.
The hospital nearest me was over 100% capacity before thanksgiving started. They expect to see a surge in cases 2 weeks after, just like they did in July.

Youtube told me hospitals are overflowing. C’mon man, can’t you see the stock footage from Italy in March?
