You need to seriously look at how leftist revolutions actually unfold. It's almost impossible to stop the inevitable once things get rolling, and leftists will be a lot better organized and armed than you think. Conservatives tend to think that if society breaks down during a violent revolution they'll be fine, so long as long as they have enough ammo and food to wait out any unrest while defending their family against any hooligans who want to come take their toilet paper.
Armed conservatives without a plan always get rolled up in the first few days of revolution, they are among the first to die, because they don't count on organized militarized revolutionaries going down a list of known firearm owners and killing or arresting them and their families one by one. Don't take my word for it, look at every single leftist revolution in modern history. It happens the same way every time. Just like in Cambodia when the Khmer Rouge marched into the capital, their weapons simply get stacked up in the street as a warning and show of force.
If leftists took over the remaining halls of power, we would have zero institutional support. Even the mass media and the millions of minds they control are against us. If you think that's an easily winnable situation because conservatives make up the majority of legal gun-owners, you need to come back to reality and acknowledge the seriousness of such a situation. Leftist revolutions backed by institutional support such as media usually resemble massacres and genocides more than civil wars.
The lesson is, look at history and get a realistic idea of what you'll actually be up against. Plan as best as you can according to your ability. Join a militia if you can. If you learn one lesson, don't wait until an organized leftist militia prepared for armed resistance is at your house to plan, because at that point your options have already run out.
Stop sending food into the cities. Pick off the armies that come out to the farms to commandeer the food production and distribution network. Burn the crops, blow up storage, and retreat with all the farming equipment and tools in a deep defense strategy away from the coasts and towards the Mississippi. They will have to deal with attrition while trying to hold and replant farmland. They can only afford 1 assault. Country boys just need enough ammo and know how to wait until the cities revolt against their new commie rulers then offer a magnanimous peace.

An opposition force filled with Big Dog type robots with guns attached is the scariest future. If we don’t have institutional support it will be very difficult to compete with that. Yes, some smaller areas will see sporadic tantrum-attacks (including mine; I live within driving distance of a large university), but it's mainly going to be an urban phenomonon.
Our biggest problem, I believe, is large-scale organization. The left has it, and we don't.
I have some crazy leftists in my area who will no doubt firebomb my very pro President Trump Restaurant. They have already threatened trump supporters in our small newspaper called the Conway daily sun in North Conway nh.
I've been threatened a couple times and deleted two Trump meetup groups I had for over two years. A lady in my area who started a meetup was threatened with arson and violence in front of a crowd of people. It was crazy.
I've heard people say it's more likely a terrorist thing for the next ten years while they get bold and then old.
Invest in multiple 4k cameras, outer perimeter (where they would be coming in) and entrance proximity. Roof mounted as well as ground level. Cameras run $20-50 each. You will need at least 6, but they won't be too happy when their ugly faces are on the news in glorious UHD 4K
