One of the links on there links to a github for "hardware configuration".

And the scripts on there load some kind of wireless or bluetooth drivers from this archive hosted by google.

This github is also hosted on some guy's website.

The reason he would have this is because these voting machines were given to schools for educational purposes, and he seems to have worked with these machines for those schools.

These voting machines have bluetooth and wifi.

One of the scripts on the above github also grabs a file related to a driver from some other guy's website.

Keep in mind, these are machines being used by schools for educational purposes, so none of this is suspicious by itself. But I find it interesting that these two dudes have their own stuff that they have the machine loading. Was this required to get the machines running?

Did scripts like this have to be used to get the machines running for whatever the Irish were voting on?

Another weird thing: Some of the scripts on that github have large blocks of encrypted data at the end of them. The blocks of data are present after the end of the script. So it could be a hiding place for data that something external to the script is reading.

One of these suspicious scripts with hidden data is more than half a megabyte. The other is over 5 megabytes!

I have archived all of these things.

Well, if you copy the link from the Readme it has this as the first link: https://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/VotingMachineScuolaLombardia

Which has the line on it: Questa pagina raccoglie le guide riguardanti il dispositivo di voto elettronico Smartmatic della Regione Lombardia, noto come Voting Machine, ora disponibile per numerose scuole con preinstallato il sistema operativo Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 LTS.

Which translates to: This page collects the guides regarding the Smartmatic electronic voting device of the Lombardy Region, known as the Voting Machine, now available for many schools with the Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 LTS operating system pre-installed.

It's in the documents so it's Smartmatic

It is working for me, but will take some time. Sourceforge is enormous, distributing thousands (tens of thousands?) of popular open source packages, a sort of precursor to Github.

I don't think a few extra downloads of these files would affect the whole site. BTW they used to adjust installation packages to insert spyware etc, but supposedly have stopped that in the last few years.

wait what? linux ? smartmatic runs on windows

EDIT: well they have bunch of different machines, some are on Android too (and maybe linux as well?)

Modified 2018-11-11 ??

Immagine di una installazione Xubuntu 18.04 funzionante sulle Voting Machine distribuite da Regione Lombardia alle scuole lombarde durante il mese di Marzo 2018. Clonezilla image for use in VIU-800 Voting Machine used by Regione Lombardia (Italy).

These are for VIU-800 Voting Machine

So this is apparently Smartmatic https://fccid.io/2AGVK-VIU-800/User-Manual/User-manual-3266471 but different machine than used in the US

They did FCC certification in China? :D https://fccid.io/2AGVK-VIU-800/External-Photos/External-photos-3266462.pdf (look at the name of the document)

https://fccid.io/2AGVK-VIU-800/Letter/Cover-letter-3266461.pdf <- chinese name and Taiwan phone number

Searching that phone number - see "Technical Contact" here https://fccid.io/2AGVK-VIU811

wandering_not_lost 40 points ago +40 / -0

It's interesting that in the set up you have to add your user dialout group.

Why is a voting machine dialing out?

22
Proda 22 points ago +22 / -0

So the Lombardy region tried to use voting machines instead of the paper our electoral laws force them to?

I don't remember any national media talking about it either.

5
covfefe00 5 points ago +5 / -0

It was for the "Referendum sull'autonomia", I personally voted on that thing. Thanks God it was the first and the last time.

3
Proda 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup. Official state election have to use paper ballots.

5
covfefe00 5 points ago +5 / -0

Every official election has to be "paper and pencil", even the local ones.

1
Proda 1 point ago +1 / -0

Vero, dovevo specificare che è per le consultazioni locali, non le elezioni.

Per consultazione intento referendum o altra forma di voto il cui risultato ha il solo scopo di dare un'idea di ciò che vogliono i cittadini, senza valore legale.

2
covfefe00 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly. We have many many problems, but at least our elections are way more fair and transparent than the american ones.

3
airgag 3 points ago +3 / -0

So how did that referendum go? 200% turnout?

20
mong04 20 points ago +20 / -0

Still relevant if real, from what we're made to understand these machines have been used for a long time to rig elections

9
wandering_not_lost 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yep and as u/aurgag pointed out this is a linux based machine.

Likely the same mechanics are used in either flavor.

The question I have is, in their docs, you've got to add your user to the dialout group. Why?

Why would a voting machine be dialing out?

4
marishiten 4 points ago +4 / -0

Could be internal. dialout isn't always used for an outside connection. dialout could be used for serial access or local ssh access.

4
Amaroq64 4 points ago +4 / -0 (edited)

The specs for the machines show that they have wireless and bluetooth capabilities. Scripts in the github for them also have installers for the wireless/bluetooth drivers.

The weird part is, scripts in the github also have huge blocks of encrypted data at the end of the script that isn't used by the script. One of these scripts is 0.6 megabytes, and the other is 5.1 megabytes.

2
marishiten 2 points ago +2 / -0

Is the script like a bash/ash script? There's no way a .sh shell script could take up that much data unless there's corruption of something.

1
Amaroq64 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, it's bash scripts.

At the end of the script is the exit 0 line.

And then the next line begins a huge block of random characters, with 76 characters on each line.

That random data is what makes those files so big.

I made a comment about it: https://thedonald.win/p/11QSH4D6cm/x/c/4DpLPGJoMlR

2
Plaquenil 2 points ago +2 / -0

That stuff after the exit might be a binary encoded with base64. I’ve seen software distributed that way.

16
CMDRConanAAnderson 16 points ago +16 / -0

Very important it be stated that the exact version used during the election is what should be looked at. There was a global update to all software 1 week before the election took place, that update should be heavily looked into.

2

2

9
FuckRioters 9 points ago +9 / -0

Unfortunately, what we probably need is the code that was on the machines in the US at the time of the election.

The reason being is that the code to transfer votes, etc could easily be added/removed in the equivalent to a small patch.

4
habadashery2 4 points ago +4 / -0

Having any version of the source code and analyzing it would make a comparison much easier, should there be any claims of a "deployed" version later. This shit needs to be open source anyways if we ever hope to have transparency in how votes are tabulated. Counting votes does not fall under the same standard as a secret recipe blend of herbs and spices.

It is a LOT harder to justify code changes if there are entire files being re-written or thousands of lines of code being changed in the course of a few hours, so having any basis helps. Very few people are that well prepared for any bug fix, and would suggest more strongly that they were "prepared" in advance. In addition, familiarity with the kind of kode that they write makes it easier to find the pockets of potential where things can be hidden (e.g. if the algorithms themselves are clean and stay clean throughout, then the inputs or outputs would be where cheating could occur)

I'm adding the files mentioned to my mega so a faster (stable) link for those files should be available tomorrow, so you can skip those (if needed) and download them from a MEGA link that should be stable.

Those are:

README.txt

sftp.txt

votingmachine_2018_06_Xubuntu1804/2018-giugno-VotingMachine.7z.003

voting-machine_2018_06_Xubuntu1804/2018-giugno-VotingMachine.7z.004

/voting-machine_2018_06_Xubuntu1804/VM-Xubuntu-1804_LEGGIMI.txt

I also added my files to the torrent folder so another 100 percent seeder should be available for the coming 3/4 hours and 8 or so hours after that again.

Also have you made a post about this? We can make it two separate torrents or combine what we already have. Also the separate files can be combined using something else than Sourceforge.

I already got the following files downloaded:

README.txt sftp.txt clonezilla_slideshow_procedura.jpg /voting-machine_2018_06_Xubuntu1804/2018-giugno-VotingMachine.7z.003 /voting-machine_2018_06_Xubuntu1804/2018-giugno-VotingMachine.7z.004 /voting-machine_2018_06_Xubuntu1804/VM-Xubuntu-1804_LEGGIMI.txt

MEGA has download caps unless you pay, better also make a torrent (and seed!)

Download the client (MEGAsync) and it will resume later when it's got data again. MEGA is actually quite fast and I never needed more limit (I'm a patient pede). Still It will take a while as this download has problems (Sourceforge sucks at large files). I'm only at 474 MB as it starts and stops constantly.

This should be a lot of fun! Everyone in the world with computer can now have their own voting machine! This just destroys the illusion that has been created by computerized voting systems (like Dominion) that computerized voting can be secured in any respect. It's been an illusion all along, with politicians taking bribes and kickbacks, and globalists and satanists steamrolling their total-control and murderous agenda.

"And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized." - Acts 9:18

This is the 3 main image files everyone was trying to download. The download failed a few hundred times, but I finally got it.

There are 2 more folders I'm working on getting. Those will take longer, and I'll create a new torrent when they finish.

Most likely the corrupt versions of the software on these machines are only installed on certain machines that are tracked and controlled, and it is only on there temporarily. These clowns are stupid, but I doubt they are THAT stupid.

This is a compiled image. This isn't source. You want individual files, you're going to have to reverse engineer using IDA Pro and even then, IDA gets a lot of shit wrong.

Does Ron have a copy of this???

I can't get this image to download. I'll have to wait for a MEGA/torrent. I don't know if it's because their trunks are overloading or if they're just refusing connections.

Strange this is an ISO. A mountable image for windows. I was under the impression that they used a Linux distro variant and that the distro is an embedded version.

I remember specifically watching some dude drill into the serial where the prompt wants root. Windows/ISO doesn't have root as a user. That's purely a UNIX thing. Windows/ISO is POSIX.

I'm downloading now. I wonder what IDA pro is going to find in the decompile.

EDIT: Ah, it's a VM image. Okay, makes more sense.

I know nothing about coding but keep in mind this could be an attempt to feed us something the they want us to see. Simply bear that in mind as you dig.

Dr. Fauci here. You’d be wise to stay 6-10 feet away from the source code at all times. We now know that scrolling and typing and clicking around in highly contagious source code zones (SCZs) can cause air molecules to circulate in a way that allows the virus to buttfuck your lungs and rape your neighbor’s immune system. We don’t want that. We’re not that kind of country. Stay away from the source code, for the love of Xi.
