that's basically what I do as well. I just look for anything not made in china. Any other country will do, but made in the USA gets top priority if available. If it's china, I put it back. Saved so much money not buying junk I didn't really need in the first place and learned a good lesson about materialism in the process
They always try to get you with those affordable prices to the point you almost can't pass up the deal. Then once you get the product you cant even believe you overpaid by underpaying for cheap garbage.
