Oh, ok.

(lived there w/ my fiancee, her entire family still lives there. Best not to make assumptions)

at least you're right about the left-leaning independent media part. Alotta good that does other western nations, like, say... the U.S. If you think something like this, just assuming it did happen, would be reported, you're out of your mind. The media wouldn't even be aware

Would you like a list of massive events that went unnoticed and unreported by media (in various countries, including U.S. and Germany) either completely, or not made public and reported on until long after it occurred? It'd exceed the character limit of posts. It's happening right now, it's happened before, and it'll happen again. And that's especially true when it involves military and intel. I wish I had your level of ignorance, optimism bias, trust in the media, and childlike faith, but once you witness it once there's no going back. Again, I'm not saying this occurred, but if it did, there's precisely a 0% chance it'd be public and reported on, and yes, it would go unnoticed.

For a really loose analogy, there was a late-night/early morning raid on a trap house that literally happened on my block where I used to live; multiple shots fired, resulting in a suspect and officer killed; and literally nobody heard it or knew it happened until 3 days later when the police department released a public statement. That's just a local PD, and here we're hypothetically talking high level intel and special ops military. Wake up man

You’ll forget this LARPer fantasy ever happened in a week or two.

Sure, very well could be the case - that isn't what we're talking about, though.

I spoke to you being certain it didn't happen specifically because "we didn't hear about it and the media didn't cover it," which is a laughable explanation that isn't a particularly compelling argument in the way of providing proof or even rationale for why it didn't happen.
