Just a reminder that Vitamin D levels have the most impact on how serious the covid is if you get it.

Pedes get sunshine on your unsunblocked skin or take vitamin D supplements.

Only 2% of those people admitted to the hospital with covid who had normal vitamin D levels the year before ended up in the ICU.

Of those who had low vitamin D levels 50% of those admitted to the hospital went to the ICU.

Edit: the absolute best way to get your vitamin D levels up is to go out in direct sunlight with as much of your skin exposed as possible for 15 minutes a day. It produces an incredible amount of vitamin D in a form your body uses much better than supplements. Of course its also free and there is no difficulty buying Sun light exposure. Also old fashion Sunlamps work like the submariners used to use when on long patrols. Like this http://images.oobject.com/thumbdir/thumbnails/3/a2/3a2b35d50ccdd5fadb1860b6344a7898-orig

Vitamin D is also a key component to healthy Testosterone levels!!! This is a HUGE deal as like over half of our country is vit D deficient.

Winter sun isn't strong enough to build vitamin D levels. It's best to supplement right now. Zinc is also a game changer.

I got over COVID in 1 week. I thank zinc and vitamin D. My smell finally returned after a month but everything else quickly recovered.

I drink alot of milk. but I still might have low levels cause I'm always giving my girlfriend the D

Take d3 along with milk, you’d have to drink gallons a day to get 5000. Sunshine is best but difficult in winter unless you are in south Florida type latitudes.

South Florida here, doing both. Plus it's nice to shitpost outside in the sunshine. 👌

Make sure you take VitD cofactors too or the Vit D doesnt get where it’s supposed to. Vitamin K and magnesium

5000 units a day. They say if you have a blood level over 30, you're in that group that handles Covid much easier.

OP is on point with this one. I caught the coof back on the 22nd and I'm already nearly fully recovered, no need to go to the hospital, no need for expensive medicine or anything else. Haven't worn a mask at all since this whole china-flu mess started, and now that I've finally caught it it went exactly as I expected, a few days of mild flu-like symptoms and now I'm basically over it. The worst I dealt with was about three days where my sense of smell and taste were all messed up, and mild fever sweats for two nights.

For reference, I take a multivitamin and 2 vitamin D supplements (1000IU each) every day, and have been for months ever since it came out that vitamin D helps deal with the coof. Do not be afraid pedes, this thing is only dangerous if you've got existing health problems (my lungs aren't great ever since a chlorine vbied in iraq), and even then it's not a big deal so long as you exercise some common sense and regularly take vitamin D supplements.

We've been told by our naturopathic doctor that many people are critically low and need to be bumped up with like 50K ius a day for a week.

That’s why we test their serum for Vit D.

Also - Do the research, but I am reading that the supplement, quercetin, uploads beneficial zinc into cells much like hydroxychloroquine does.

Everyday I take 10,000 Vitamin D plus C and zinc, and try to get a lot of sun. Also melatonin to help with sleep. All help fight off the Rona

jackwerntz 1 point ago +1 / -0

I take 5-12K IU daily for the last three years or so. I haven't had as much as the sniffles all year.

Feels good eating home grown turmeric and blue LED grow light mushrooms nonstop. I've never gotten sick in over a decade despite working in the grossest, most disease ridden industry filled with disgusting people who never clean up after themselves.
