Have you looked at 5.11 Tactical for clothing options? The main reason I buy their clothing is the functionality. All their pants I own have 2 additional upper hip pockets above the traditional rear pockets. My knife, Gerber, flashlight, and spare mag go in those. Super discreet and comfortable.
I love how everyone is assuming that every pair of 5.11 pants is "tactical" looking. Clearly they've never seen the defender flex jeans and pants. I have 6 pairs of them. I don't wear any other kind of jeans anymore.
I’ve got 3 pair and the first time I wore the blue ones, my teen daughters thought they were very stylish... especially since I only wear cargos the rest of the time. Was just thinking, this morning, that I need a black pair of the flex jeans
I think the same guys who wear 5.11 are the guys who have all the decals and stickers on their trucks of firearm brands. You won't see that shit on my windshield or bumper. But inside the car however, there is likely at least one loaded firearm in my vehicle if I am in that vehicle. I don't believe in "truck guns" or if you keep in your car all the time. I think it's mostly pointless. You won't be able to get to it in time and it will more likely be stolen one day. It wouldn't be too hurtful to lose an old gun, but id feel bad about being responsible for arming a scumbag.
Off topic from your point, but out here in the sticks (and I'm pretty sure where the ancient origins of the term lie...) the truck gun is what you keep jammed behind the passenger seat or hanging in the back window for when you pull into the driveway to see a coyote trying to dig into the chicken coop. I don't think it ever clicked for me that people were talking about it as a self-defense against humans tool until I read your post here. I carry a handgun in the vehicle when I'm going somewhere for self-defensee, but when I'm on my land I throw a .22 in the passenger seat as the "truck gun". Or a shotgun if it's hunting season.
Completely agree. A truck gun is entirely pointless unless you are a LEO. If you have time to get to a truck gun, you have time to take defensive cover.

I’m wearing those jeans right now.

Carhartt is pretty good too if you don't want to stand out as the guy who is definitely carrying. Makes it more of a 50/50
Carhartt pants are the best EDC pants and unlike 5.11 you don't look like a cop.

5.11 makes a lot of mens and women’s pants that don’t “look like a cop” these days. Check them out.
And no, I don’t work for them. I’m a lowly concrete finisher.
