"On November 29, 2020 Batten denied a request that voting machines in Georgia be preserved as "the voting equipment that they seek to impound is in the possession of county election officials". Since the defendants do not include county election officials, who are in control of the equipment, and the injunction can not extend to parties who are not defendants, the request was deemed defective and the request was denied.
