Because you have to let people commit a crime before you do anything. Then you let them cover their tracks, so it's even worse. Then you collect a few of the lower criminals and fly them to Gitmo on treason charges - foreign powers are involved -. You remind them that in September Trump let an exec order covering this exact situation an invoquing war powers. You build a case, but moreimportantly you make a list. You replace the SECDEF and put all special forces under him.
Why wouldn't they cover all tracks, they would be stupid not to. Seems no one is stopping them too. If this isn't just to expose them all as traitors idk seems like, your enemy makes a move in the war and you just watch it happen.... People should be rallying in streets preventing anyone to reach the machines.
