To fully erase something on a computer, don't you have to save something new on it? "Deleting" something really just means allow that space to be overwritten when needed? Could the information still be on the computers after they delete it?
Absolutely. Takes over 3 over writes to fully erase the data (assuming an old school harddrive). I assume the Trump team is laughing as they probably already have this data. Remember, they were connected to the internet.
