I wish people would relax about this. Election officials are supposed to keep data, even envelopes for 22 months, I think we've got a pretty good case against them messing with the machines.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's the big deal about the machines. If this was done all over you can look at any machine. I don't see how you can't find the fraud WITHOUT the machine. They still have all the ballots/envelopes (at least they better, because THAT'S a crime to destroy).

I don't know though. The way Sidney and Lin are talking, it sounds like there is something important on the machines.

The paper ballots are printed by the machine, they're not ballots filled out and then inserted. There are no original paper ballots.
