I’ve noticed that TheDonald.win is a place with underlying Christian principles, and as a Christian, I appreciate that. I’m asking for insight as to what my fellow Pedes think about Romans 13. Currently, I’ve been struggling with the idea of submitting to governing authorities in light of today’s climate, especially living in a blue state. I truly believe that there have been egregious atrocities committed against our country and our constitution, but am I to disobey the authority placed in my life as ordained by God? I think not, as long as God remains the ultimate authority. But like I said, I’m struggling with this scripture and remain conflicted. At what point is civil disobedience the answer?

Remember that aa Christian is not under OT law but grace. The Pharisies demonstrated well how obsessing over the law but ignoring it's heart and spirit get you.
America was itself formed on the principal that a christian will exercise civil disobedience against a corrupt government. How corrupt is subjective moving target.
J.C. gives us general advise to obey and pay taxes, but that's way down on hist list. Second is "love they neighbor as thyself" which seems to me a command not to let them suffer under bad governance.
In any case, the Holy Spirit would clearly be the present aspect of the Trinity to consult on such an earthly matter. Pray on it and ask for guidance.
Think on the old adage that all that is needed for evil to triumph is for the good to do nothing. If direct disobedience is not called for see what you can do to improve the situation. If you won all your neighbors over, and they won all their neighbors over, etxc. things would get better.
