I do t know why people expect us to any different. It’s happened everywhere throughout all of human history. We aren’t, as a whole, any better just because we happen to inhabit a piece of turf between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Very wise men set up a system for of government for us, and warned that we probably couldn’t keep it together, and if we wanted to we would have to fight evil again to do so.
