Just woke up to being told that the meter reader was outside. My meter is in the basement. It is raining out, and I have not had any coffee. He's a 20-something year old kid, seemingly in decent health, saying that I can take a picture with my phone of the meter and he can get the information that way. Mind you, I haven't even had my first cup of covfefe yet, so I didn't even ponder inviting him in out of the rain until I was halfway to the basement. However, he was a good 20 ft away from the front door. Went downstairs and snapped the picture. By the time I got upstairs to the front door, he came all the way up to the door. At this point I invited him to come in out of the rain and read the phone that way. He said that I would need to put on a mask before he would come in. (🤣🤣🤣🤡) As I was nice and dry, I decided to just hand him my phone and let him figure it out. Seems like the other month, a different meter reader came in, checked the meter, and left on his merry way. Something tells me that it's a personal choice for employees to either enter a home or not now. Now that I've had my first cup of covfefe, thought I would share that with everybody. Wondering how many people are handing their phones to him as well as he gets rained on 🤪.

The fear that the government and media have put into people is really insane. The fact that it is going against their own common sense to get out of the rain is not surprising anymore.
I live in NC and last night I decided to check out the statistics for Mecklenburg County (where Charlotte is) to see what the hype was. Here is what I discovered:
I know it is different in different places, but here the kids are not going to school and we have to wear masks everywhere -- I honestly find myself avoiding going out not because I am afraid of getting sick, but because I just get so freaking depressed walking around in the dystopian nightmare that is 2020. And for what? not even 1% of our population is sick.. not even 5% of our population has EVER been sick... what gives?
