I don't think they're sharing random unscourced tweets because they believe them, because to be where they are, they have to be smarter than that. So I have to imagine that either what they're sharing is true (which I personally don't believe it is), or they know it's false and it's some sort of psychological warfare to make themselves look weak, while in the background there is serious progress being made.
