It's amazing how all films are simply boring and uninteresting because it's more important to shove gay and/or multi-racial characters down everyone's throat where it makes no sense and adds nothing to the story. Also how they shoehorn female characters into action roles that require them dismantling entire armies of men built like the Hulk who are dispatched with ease by a woman less than half their weight and no visible muscle tone.

A quick search says that 11 million in 1977 would equate to about 47 million today. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) cost about 275 million.

Assuming (very conservatively) most of the layoffs are park employees making between $15-25 an hour, we can simplify and just say Disney is paying 40k/employee/year. 32,000 x 40,000 is 1.28 billion dollars. It could be much more than this once you take into account benefits etc.
Remember too that Disneyworld has been operating normally since like June, while Disneyland is essentially being held hostage by Commiefornia. So it makes business sense to bribe left-wing causes if it means maybe getting political return on investment in that state. $5 million is like .3% of what they would be paying to employees to operate a park that is generating no revenue.
