The press is used to prime ideas like this, and to test the waters of public acceptance, and for a while, about a year or two ago, there was a flurry of articles about how we could all save the earth by eating bugs. It was like that flurry of articles in March, when the lockdowns first started, about how clean the air was in the empty city streets, how you could hear the birds chirping now that there was no traffic, how the canals of Venice were clear without all the human activity & industry, how the dolphins were coming back to formerly polluted waters, etc.
The bug eating thing is interesting to me, because for at least a decade there have been restaurants in places like San Francisco that were trying to mainstream it, and by all accounts they were actually delicious. I was really open to it; both sides of my family owe their survival to it (see great Nebraska grasshopper invasion of 1874 )and the idea really isn't that far away from eating shrimps. I was open to it- until the articles.
These articles were so transparently a priming for a future where that would be "the new normal." Where ranchers are eliminated, with those big open spaces gated off from the public as "nature reserves," and the majority is an underclass living in "smart cities," being forced to eat bugs because they don't have the climate credits to afford a steak. It was exactly that same creepily utopian tone as the "you will own nothing, and you will be happy" World Economic Forum videos. Absolutely dystopian.

No this is a standard construct. Nothing here violates the joint space. 6 cortex fixation on either side of a lag screw via neutralization plate on the fibula and 2 screws in the medial mal. I’d use partially threaded screws in the medial mal for compression though. Not fixing this fracture appropriately can lead to a snowball effect eventually leading to a BKA. it’s not fun.
