Hypothetically speaking, if we had the FBI that we want, they we be acting exactly the way they are now. Quiet. No leaks of any kind. The kind of FBI Trump promised us before he became president.
Trump "bitching" on Twitter is ALWAYS distraction, so when he questions where they are, to me it's more of him trying to distance himself from any type of real investigation that may be going on.
When Trump talks to reporters, he tells them flat out, "We caught them."
You don't catch anybody without investigations/evidence of a crime.

When he first got into office, Sally Yates wouldn't do what Trump wanted. He fired her so fast it wasn't funny.
Trump is the boss, and expects his employees to perform or he replaces him. This is his appeal. How many people have come and gone in service of Trump. Likely dozens.

Barr is very smart, an honest guy, and capable. He is also patriotic. What he seems to be is very non aggressive when it comes to cleaning up the DOJ and FBI, which by all accounts are practically non functional entities at this point. This is a huge problem.
But really the DOJ and FBI by extension are Trump's responsibility. We should not be where we are now with the DOJ and FBI being almost useless, or the other way around, harmful. Trump should have cleaned these organizations up and ejected bad actors.
This shit is not political its about criminality and justice. I dont give a fuck about the political optics. The stakes are too high. Good people doing nothing lets bad actors run roughshod over every last American. And it's what we have been witnessing for around 30 years.
