There's really no precedent or contemporary standard by which mandatory vaccination makes any sense at all for COVID-19.

The stakes simply aren't there.

People talk about conspiracy theories but when they talk about mandatory vaccines for something like this then that's just a conspiracy fact. It's about pure control.

Ethically, a doctor does not treat anyone without their full consent. The conditions under which that is violated have to be extreme.

COVID-19 simply is not severe enough to require forced vaccinations especially one that could backfire. If they have to coerce or force people then you know there's something more to this. Politicians don't care at all about COVID-19. Otherwise they would have gone mental when BLM took to the streets.

Vaccines, when properly developed and administered are an important part of proper health care. When it comes to people using it for pure power play they damage that and we can't have nice things. I would rather face disease than let politicians have their way with me.

Mortality rate far below 1%. Most people fight it off before even showing symptoms.

There are some concerns if either a vaccine is not 100% effective or certain categories of at risk people don't develop immunity (well I guess someone with AIDs probably wont get much out of it but they're fucked anyway, their own gut bacteria will probably eat them alive one day and make them into poop).

Though that's not really relevant when you actually look at it comparatively and at scale. People get into this crazed mindset where one death is too many when no not really. People die all the time even of cold and flu. I know a guy who had a runny nose, slipped on his own snot, hit his head and died. There's only so much you can reasonably do.

It's not just the low mortality rate but once you have enough people immune you can respond quickly to outbreaks. I think they're thinking to eliminate it entirely and some are scared of mutation. Could luck achieving that on a global scale. It's not realistic. We've wiped out some diseases but something like this you're fighting the common cold at the end of the day.

There is an alternative vaccine. Get the virus then hunker down for a couple weeks. Give people all the information, the ingredients, let people test it, etc, let them decide and enough will take it if it's legit.

If you want to look at something really scary look at how many people have HIV in Africa. Maybe the WHO should focus on that instead. Much bigger problem. COVID-19 is a real case of first world problems.

There's little reason to focus on COVID-19 as our next target for elimination. Compared to measles, polio, and smallpox, this is nothing. Most of the people who die of COVID would have succumbed to any infection.
