Anyone remember when you couldn't use Wikipedia for sources on papers? My cousin who is still in school just told over this thanksgiving weekend, The head of the county apparently reviewed this site to find it is a legit source you can use. His teacher even mention it as the "Modern Day Encyclopedia"

Get outta here

For most topics that aren't (yet) politicized, you can at least use the cited references as sources in many cases so it's not a bad aggregate for getting some info on a given topic quickly. It's when they politicize shit that it gets disgusting. My first runin with it was their article on GamerGate, and we've seen plenty since then, the most recent being their rewrite of the article on the term "to 86" after Whitmer's stunt.

The original founder of Wikipedia was attempting to create an alternative and we could certainly use one, though. At the very least, don't give these commie scum money, that's for sure.

Wikipedia is great for anything that is not political. Thing mechanics, an 80s movie, or broom types. Anything political is just a war zone though.
