Does anyone else get tired of the constant promises of "something huge" to come? Sometimes it's delivered, but so often it's not. I notice this far more on the right, but then again, I don't pay attention to Leftist news sources, so maybe they do the same thing?

I don't normally care. Either it materializes in an hour and is huge or it doesn't.

True. It's more that it bothers me when it's exaggerated or untrue because it not only undermines the person or outlet with the claims (making them less trustworthy), but also helps to delegitimize conservative media as a whole. Even if it's well-intentioned, it seems like it would do much more for the "cause" if those with information release it if they have it, when it's ready, and not try to tease it, leading to a potential let down.

"Speak softly and carry a big stick" has much more wisdom in it than is superficially understood.

I guess it's about 50/50. Perhaps I'm extra sensitive to it because I had to go through the Glenn Becks of the last couple decades who praised establishment GOP, while constantly dooming and pulling publicity stunts like this that lead to nothing.

One instance in particular, I recall from the 2012 election cycle, in which Glenn Beck claimed that he had a massive bombshell to drop on his show on Faux News, and it was the bomb to end all bombs. "Arrests are going to happen!" he claimed.

And it was literally nothing at all. It was him talking about NSA privacy issues that everyone and their grandmother already new about for about 15 minutes at the end of his show.
