Maybe it's mentioned, but I doubt you would still find teachers passionately cautioning you against the dangers of totalitarian regimes. If they do, it would be some dumb activist projecting their evil against Trump, as usual.

I wouldn't read too much into the fact you leaned left as a youngster, I think it's perfectly normal and I did too. That usually gets cured by dealing with incompetence and starting to pay taxes.

What scares me is I get the impression kids are being taught to look at the finger and not where it's pointing. To fear freedom, democracy, true equality and economic opportunities because you can't really benefit from them if you're given a crap education. Hence devaluing those amazing privileges

When they start questioning themselves into adulthood, they don't have that backup knowledge on stand-by to help them through the process. That's the sabotage.

Good teachers don't expect you to fully learn things on the spot, they just give you the tools you'll need when they're no longer there to guide you
